The Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula
The Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula is the umbrella arts organization on the Saanich Peninsula, representing all of the arts: visual, musical, performing and literary. In addition to its advocacy roll on behalf of the arts, it provides funding assistance and support to its member groups through grants to ensure the public has access to artistic experiences; it directly organizes certain arts activities (e.g. the Sidney Fine Arts Show, the Sidney Author Reading Series, The Gallery-by-the Sea, the fall and spring Studio Tours and the summer Artisans Show and Sale); and it provides funding assistance to the local school board (SD63) to support arts education for the youth in our community
